This patent relates to a packaging container self-closing valve. It has an outwardly recessed valve head and the valve head is connected to the outer edge via a flexible connecting wall. The connecting wall has a truncated cone-shaped outer portion and an inner cylindrical portion that are connected together at the elbow. At the thin, inwardly curved flange, the inner part connects the valve head. The outer wall portion of the connecting wall is in the shape of a truncated cone and moves between a downwardly inclined and an upwardly inclined position when the valve is moved toward the forward dispensing position. The connecting wall elbow acts as a spring so that the valve head returns quickly after the contents are dispensed. The flange acts like a living hinge and it is substantially free from bending stiffness, so that in the subsequent steps, the valve head is deformed so as not to create resistance to valve ventilation.
