Action Lists help users to complete some repetitive tasks or changes easily and quickly. PitStop itself has preset some actions (Action Lists), and users can also create unique actions by themselves. In PitStop 6.53 version, Add Printer Marks (add print marks), Convert Color to CMYK (convert color to CMYK), Knockout Light Objects (steal through light objects), Make Rich Black (change black to extra black) have been preset , Remove ICC tag (remove color profile), Remove Transparent Objects (remove transparent objects), etc., these actions can be started or modified in PitStop Action List Control Panel (action console). Four action instructions (Actions) The PitStop Action List Control Panel divides the original Actions into four types, namely Selections, Changes, Checks, and Informs. These basic Actions can be combined into some more complex Action Lists , Users with experience in computer programming can use the instructions here to establish some complex actions to deal with some complex problems. Selections The most commonly used instruction, usually we need to select one or more objects before we start to change, for example, select a certain font, and then select the instruction to change the font. The selection commands are Select All (select all objects), Select by Color Space (select color mode), Select by Font Type (select font format), Select Font by Name (select font by name), Select by Line Weight (select line thickness) Degrees), etc., and some arithmetic or logic words, such as AND, OR, and NOT. Changes The instructions here are almost equivalent to all the instructions that PitStop can do, including the change actions that PitStop Inspector and PitStop Global Change can issue, such as adding page numbers, changing the properties of objects, changing fonts, changing colors, removing objects, rotating or zooming in on content and many more. Checks The action does not necessarily change the PDF content. Sometimes we only need to check the content or some special objects. For example, we want to check whether there is an ICC feature file in the file, or whether there is network information in the file. Content or beware of whether the file contains bad information. Informs (collecting information) The action can also be to collect information, including colors, fonts, images, OPI information, etc. It seems that some preflight actions will collect information about the content of the file, and then display the information in the preflight report. PitStop Action List Control Panel To display the PitStop Action List Control Panel mobile console, click Windows> Show PitStop Action List Panel. The action console allows us to create, manage and initiate actions. The console is organized by 4 parts, including the action bar (arranged by name) on the left of the window, Executing (startup bar), Managing (management bar) and Description (remarks bar) on the right. Executing (startup bar) Here we can choose the content of the action, the scope of the action and whether to generate a report. Description (Remarks column) The description of the action is shown here. For example, Figure 6 shows the description of the Convert Color to CMYK action, indicating that this action will change all the colors of the file to CMYK, including the color of text, lines, and images.
