2024 Marks 30 Years of Maison&Objet

<

In 2024, Maison&Objet celebrates 30 years of French-inspired excellence in the realms of home decor, design, and lifestyle. This milestone year will take visitors on a journey towards a reimagined future where technology and nature coexist harmoniously. The theme of this anniversary year, TECH EDEN, will be explored throughout 2024 at the Paris fair, in the city’s showrooms, and on the M.O.M marketplace. It will resonate across three core areas: interior architecture, retail, and hospitality. TECH EDEN draws inspiration from last year's theme, "ENJOY!" but shifts focus to futuristic biophilia, emphasizing a new world of well-being. This concept was developed in collaboration with the creative strategy agency Peclers Paris, who see it as an opportunity to highlight the evolving relationship between science and nature, projecting it into a sustainable and desirable future. As societal crises continue to affect our lives, there's a growing need to feel comfortable in our personal spaces. Advanced technologies are responding by introducing services inspired by nature, offering a sophisticated blend of the natural and artificial. One example is the capsule room "Once Upon a Dream," designed by Mathieu Lehanneur for the reopening of Hôtel de Marc. This room focuses on artificial and programmable management of natural day/night cycles to promote restorative sleep. Maison&Objet has also introduced a new sector called "Well-Being & Beauty," featuring products that reconcile feel-good rituals with soft technological innovations to create a cozy atmosphere at home. Advances in digital technology, AI, and connected objects are not just enhancing service design but also reinforcing the quest for well-being. Brune Ouakrat, Strategic Planner & Futurologist at Peclers Paris, notes that sensitive explorers are embracing these technological advances to create an augmented, personalized form of daily life. This leads to the concept of biophilic design, where sustainable and technological experiments aim to engage a community united by social media. Future consumers seek qualitative experiences with strong eco-responsible dimensions, such as the 3D-printed hotel project El Cosmico in Texas. This anniversary edition will mark significant progress in Maison&Objet's ability to support its customers while celebrating 30 years of inspiration, creativity, and closeness to its community. Maison&Objet returns to Paris from January 18th to 22nd, 2024. Stay tuned! Stay connected with Covet House on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter for more interior design inspiration.
