At Kite Packaging, the office is always buzzing with a steady flow of cakes, biscuits, fruits, sweets, and even occasional samosas during holidays like Diwali. Food packaging is one of our core areas, and many of our online customers are independent bakeries and shops looking for affordable, easy-to-use solutions that protect delicate items. It’s important to note that all our food-grade products are chemical-free—like our blue pallet wrap—and even our presentation materials, such as tissue paper, are acid-free to prevent any color bleeding into the products. Occasionally, we get to try some of the treats we’ve helped package—like today’s example below. Sue’s brownies made it from Scotland to our call center in Coventry without a single scratch! Let’s take a look at how she kept them in perfect condition. Hello Doctor, I recently opened my own bakery, and one of my customers asked for a sample of my brownies. The issue I’m facing is that this customer lives over 360 miles away! I need to make sure the brownies stay as fresh as when they left the kitchen and arrive in one piece. I’d also love a solution that’s simple and gives a professional impression—ideally, I want to use this same packaging across my business for consistency. Thanks,
Sue Hi Sue, Ooh, brownies—my favorite sweet treat! Don’t worry, I’ve got the perfect, simple solution right here. First, I recommend using our white cardboard postal boxes. These are a popular choice for businesses that sell attractive products like cakes, confectionery, and baked goods. They offer a secure and reliable delivery method with a professional finish. Available in various sizes, they come flat-packed and require no taping—just fold and go! In addition to the boxes, I suggest using greaseproof paper to line the inside. This will help keep the brownies moist and prevent them from drying out during transit. For extra protection on longer journeys, you can add Hivewrap around the pieces. The greaseproof paper is made from eco-friendly sulphite pulp and is safe for direct food contact. The Hivewrap also has great environmental credentials and provides excellent shock absorption to keep your brownies intact. Hope this helps! Let me know if you need more advice. Best wishes,
