POS machine credit card no points? Determine whether to skip the code by billing

<

Merchants who calculate points in the bank do not have points? May be the business pos machine hop code! It is the name of the merchant that is written on the clear ticket. How can it be coded?

I believe that there may be many card friends who believe that the POS machine can be hopped by the merchant name and merchant code displayed on the POS machine purchase order. As long as the merchant name and code do not match the actual consumer merchants, it means that the code is skipped. Is it reasonable?

In fact, the name and code of the merchant on the POS machine ticket are not always accurate. This is a problem set by each payment company, so some small tickets can display the name and code of the merchant, and some show the payment company. The name and code set by yourself can only be confirmed by the information on the POS machine purchase order.

We must first clarify one thing. The bank gives the points, not the name of the manual bill, but the system gives the points by identifying the industry code in the UnionPay billing information. Therefore, if we look at the real trading information of the UnionPay background, Only then can you judge whether to skip the code.

How to check it out? The following small series will explain two questions in detail: How to check the UnionPay bill? How to judge whether to skip code by bill?

First, how to check?

Pay attention to the public number "China UnionPay 95516", click "Check Transaction" in the menu bar, enter the card number, mobile phone number and other information according to the prompts, you can find the real information of UnionPay. It should be noted that the UnionPay can only find most banks in the background. Inter-bank transactions, and some transactions will take two or three days to be found in the background of UnionPay, so if there is no transaction, you can check it again in two or three days.

Second, how to judge whether to skip code?

Let's focus on the 15 merchant codes. Take the following bill as an example to tell everyone how to interpret the merchant code.

It can be seen that UnionPay found the merchant code for this transaction is 857610153310122. This 15-digit merchant code contains three important information: acquirer, merchant location and merchant type.

The top three of the merchant code refers to the acquirer code. For example, 850 is the agency code of the company, 102 is the code of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, and 857 is the code of the star. You can check the online agency code on the Internet.

The next four digits are the area code. For example, 3310 is the code of Hangzhou, 1100 is the Tianjin code, 3010 is the Nanjing code, and 6106 is the code of Xi'an. These are all found on the Internet.

The next four digits are the industry code, which is the MCC code. For example, the 5331 corresponds to the convenience store, the 5812 is the restaurant code, and the 7011 is the hotel code (you can view the MCC code in the public menu bar).

Generally speaking, the code hopping means that it was originally consumed in the restaurant, but after checking the transaction in UnionPay, it was found that the industry code in the merchant code is not 5812 of the restaurant, but 8011 hospital (0 rate) or 5411 supermarket ( Discount class) and other low-rate merchants, it means that the code is hopping.

Some merchant-coded MCCs jump from restaurants to hotels, but because restaurants and hotels are high-rate industries, they do not intrinsically affect credit cards, so they are not hopping codes.

The last four digits are random codes, which are not important.

In summary, I want to know if the code is very simple. I only need to check the real transaction after the UnionPay, and see if the MCC code jumps to the low rate or 0 rate industry.
